This herb crusted pork tenderloin has become one of our favorites lately and frequently shows up on our weekly menu.
This little ham turned one on August 17th. I can't believe it. Time truly does fly by. We had an awesome week looking back at the memories we have created this first year with her. We had many discussions this week that started with, "Well this time last year we were...".
It's FRIDAY! Woohoo! I am so excited that I get to wear jeans to work, it's payday, AND I get to stop by Dunkin on my way to work. So let's get on with my favorite five this week.
A few weekends ago before my summer break ended Joey surprised me with a staycation. He told me ahead of time that he reserved us a room for two nights in Orlando.
Whoa! It's Friday already? This has been pre-planning week for teachers and it feels like it has gone by so fast! I am not even close to being ready for my students on Monday. Well, maybe I am somewhat close. I know I have been MIA on the blog and posting but once I get caught up with school I will get back into the groove of things.
So let's get started with my favorite five.
1.) Last weekend, Joey and I found the most delicious donut shop in Clermont, FL. It's called the Donut King. They have the BEST maple bacon donut. They use REAL bacon on it and it's delicious. It was completely worth the hour drive to go get them.
2. This week Ava started walking with her walker all by herself. We still need to work on her steering but so far she is doing great!
3. There is now Almond Milk creamer! I have tried it and it is really good!
4. I usually make my own cold brew coffee these days. You can find the recipe here. If you aren't able to make it yourself or just on the go and want to grab you a nice cup of cold brew coffee then pull into a Dunkin Donuts. They now sell cold brew coffee! I tried it yesterday and it was pretty good.
5. This year I will be teaching 6th grade Language Arts. I am super excited! I also moved into a new classroom. I call it the penthouse suite. There are tons of windows with a pretty view and plenty of natural light shining through.
I have pictures of Joey and Ava everywhere which makes my heart happy. It is probably the first time in a long time that I have actually printed photos. It was super easy too. I just downloaded the Walgreens App and selected photos to print from my Instagram account and picked them up within an hour or so. They came as square prints and then I just used washi tape to tape them on the side of my desk at work and on my cabinet door.
That's all for this week.
This week was my first week back at work. I enjoyed getting back into the swing of things, but I did miss being at home with our baby girl and so excited that today is Friday!
1.) Ava's First Birthday Theme: We decided that Ava's first birthday party theme will be SPRINKLES and lots of them! We finalized what gift we are going to get her and decided that we are going to have a small party for her with just our families. We are super excited and can't believe she will be one soon!
2.) Staycation Blog Post: Last weekend Joey and I went on our staycation while my parents watched Ava. We had a blast and enjoyed every minute together. This weekend I will have my blog post up with all the fun details to share with you.
3.) Cookies! I found these cookies at Publix the other day. They are so good and a healthier alternative if you are craving a sweet treat but still want to be good.
4.) IKEA Placemats: I found these at IKEA and think they are so cute. They have a little pocket sewn on them for flatware or napkins.
5.) Bad Mom Movie: This weekend I am going with a friend of mine to see this movie. I am so excited! I have heard that it's hilarious. Have you seen it yet? Thoughts?
Well that's it for this week...do you have anything to confess this week?
