I am super excited for Ava's first Easter this year. Even though she will only be 7 months old and doesn't understand the Easter Bunny yet or what the Easter season is all about it will still be her first and that's exciting! We will definitely be leaving her Easter basket out the night before so the Easter bunny can fill it when he (in this case she) hops buy.
When it comes to Easter baskets I am very old school and traditional. I love just a regular colorful basket. Growing up the Easter Bunny brought us eggs filled with candy and every now and then you would find a hidden egg somewhere with a dollar or two in it. I have a feeling the Easter Bunny will be the same way with Ava. However, since she can't really have candy right now I have been following other mommy blogs to try and find some "tried and true" baby items to throw in her basket. Here is what I have come up with. I have also added some of our tried and true items as well.
I found things on another blog and ordered them for Ava. She loves things that squeak so I have a feeling she will love these.
Sophie is the BEST. When I first registered for it when I was pregnant I thought it was crazy for someone to pay $20 for a teething giraffe. I am here to tell you that it is worth every penny and I am so happy my friend got it for Ava. She LOVES Sophie!
This is another one of Ava's favorite teething toys. You can place them in the fridge to help soothe their gums. We have two sets of these and usually always make sure to keep one in the car. They usually help keep her busy on car rides.
This is another toy that one of my fellow bloggers recommended. She said that they will take them out to dinner with them and they keep her little one entertained. I am so excited for them to come in. I am not sure I can wait until Easter to give them to Ava.
Ava has loved this toy since she was just a few months hold. It rattles which she loves and its super easy for her to grab on to. She was able to play with this at an early age. This is one of her number favorites.
These bibs are wonderful. The first one is my favorite and it is great when giving Ava a bottle. The rim around the collar catches all the milk that usually slides down under her chin and gets stuck in the creases of her neck. The second one is great to use when giving her baby food. I easily wipe it off or rinse it when I am done feeding her without having to wash it.
These spoons are great and turn white if the food is too hot for the baby.
This stuff is like magic. Joey and I love it. We give it to Ava when she is really fussy. My friend recommended it and it WORKS!
You can never go wrong with books for your little one. It is important to read to them no matter what their age is.
What are some things you put in your baby's Easter Basket?
