Oh how I wish we could hit rewind and do it all over again. Christmas was so wonderful this year! Here's a little recap.
We started with Christmas Eve at Nana and Pop's. For Christmas Eve dinner my mother inlaw taught me how to make California Tamales. Oh my! These were so good! They're a sweeter tamale packed with deliciousness. For dinner we had chicken and steak fajitas to go along with the tamales as well as cheese enchaladias and homemade cherry cheesecake. It was all so yummy!
After we ate we opened some presents and played around the tree.
We had such a wonderful time together with Nana and Pop Christmas Eve!
At the end of the day we headed home to get ready for Santa and the birth of Jesus! Daddy put together the slide Nana and Pop gave Ava for Christmas and then we got Ava ready for bed.
This year Santa kept it simple and brought Ava a kitchen play set and a mac daddy bubble machine. Her bubble machine is seriously the best! It spits out tons and tons of bubbles!
After we opened presents up at our house we headed to Orlando to see Nona and Papa and all the Aunts and Uncles! My dad smoked his annual prime rib, which was lip smackin' good and of course we had ravioli and all the other fixins'! Oh my it was delicious! For dessert my Momma made her delicious southern pecan pie.
Somehow Ava forgot to put some leftovers in her shopping cart Nona and Papa gave her for Christmas. Hmmm...we will have to work on that for next year.
I got to snuggle with my sweet nephew Easton!
We had a wonderful time Christmas day at Nona and Papa's and it was so good to see everyone! Oh and this year Joey and I walked away lucky winners again from our Strazi stocking scratch offs! I believe we won $11 together!
The day after Christmas we spent relaxing at home and playing with all of the toys.
I guess Daddy and Ava played and played until they couldn't play anymore. I went to take a shower and when I returned this is how I found them. What a great way to end such a wonderful Christmas! We are so blessed to have each other and to be able to spend this Christmas with our loved ones!
We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Check out Christmas 2015!
