This peppermint scrub is a great DIY gift. The coarse salt helps exfoliate your skin, while the oil leaves your skin feeling nice and soft. My hands have a tendency to sweat a lot so I hate wearing lotion on my hands because it just causes them to sweat even more. Instead, I use this salt scrub which leaves my hands feeling nice and smooth. It is very easy to make. I made a peppermint oil but you can really use any smell that you'd prefer. This DIY gift includes just three simple ingredients.
Mix 1 cup of epsom salt, 1/3 cup of grape seed oil, and 25-30 drops of peppermint oil until well blended. Store in an airtight glass container and there you have it. This filled one of the jars shown in the pictures. I did one batch at a time. My first batch I started with 1/4 cup of oil and just added oil until I got the consistency that I wanted. Then I decided to just stick with 1/3 cup. You can add as much oil as you want or as little. You don't want it to be too dry, but you also don't want the salt to be swimming in oil. I would just make it to you liking and definitely try it on your hands as you go. This is one DIY project that will leave you feeling pampered.
