This year Joey and I are having his parents and grandparents over to our house for Easter. This is the first Easter we will be hosting at our house. Tons of things immediately rushed through my head like table decor, the menu, dessert, etc. I think I have finalized the table decor (which I am sure will change a little bit by Easter Sunday) and the menu is almost done. We just need to decide on dessert.
Here is what the table will look like with two more place settings added to it...
Instead of using chargers this time I am going to use grape vine wreaths. You can find these at any craft store for about $3.99 (plus don't forget your 40% coupon). I recommend looking closely at the wreaths when picking them out. You want to make sure to pick the ones that lay flat and aren't lopsided. I had one I had to take back and exchange because I didn't realize it wouldn't lay flat and it had some bigger, bulkier vines that prevented the dinner plate from laying properly in between it.
I found these cute little bunny plates that I plan to use as salad plates.
The napkin rings were made using an easy and inexpensive DIY that I posted earlier this week. You can find that here.
For the glassware I will be using my Nona's green glasses. These are my favorite!
For the table decor I decided on fresh flowers, a variety of glass containers, and eggs!

Now it's time for the important stuff...the MENU! My family is half Italian so growing up we always had homemade ravioli for the holidays. The ravioli was considered the soup for the meal and then we would get into the main course with all it's fixins. Unfortunately, I don't have any homemade ravioli for this Easter but it's a tradition that I would like to try and continue in the future.
Here is the menu for this year. I am pretty sure the everything is set except for the dessert. Uhhh!!! It is so hard to decide on a dessert.
We don't go to church until 11:20 am so I plan on putting the ham in the oven early Sunday morning. I could also possibly do that for the green beans and then turn them off when we leave for church. What are your thoughts on that? I know a lot of people like the creamy Velvetta type of macaroni and cheese but lately I have had a craving for just the good old fashion kind. Now I know pineapple casserole sounds weird but it's actually pretty tasty. My parents had it last year for Easter and it goes well with the ham. Has anyone else tried it before? Then of course we have to have deviled eggs. My husband doesn't like them but I love them and they are an Easter must!
Now the desserts! I am having a hard time deciding. Which dessert would you pick?
Joey and I are excited to be hosting Easter this year. This time last year I was pregnant with Ava. We are so truly blessed and thankful for this miracle God has brought us. We look forward to celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior this year as a family of three!
