Last weekend, Ava and I had a bad stomach bug and couldn’t do much of anything so I am super excited for this weekend to be here. I feel like I need a do over from last weekend. Here are my favorite five this week.
1.) I made some chicken pot pie soup last weekend and it was so good! To incorporate the crust I used the refrigerator crust, rolled it out, cut circles out of it using a glass cup, and then baked them according to the directions on the package. It was delicious! I wish I could share the recipe but I don’t really remember exactly how I made it. It was just one of those things I experimented with.
2.) We all had Monday off so once we started feeling better we got out of the house for some fresh air. We headed to Parksdale Farms in Plant City for some strawberry smoothies and shortcake. I tried to get Ava to sit on my lap but I guess she’s a big girl now (tear, tear…). Why do they grow up so fast?
3.) "Two things I know. One, JESUS SAVES. Two, guac is extra.” I recently received this shirt from Be Still Clothing Company and it has become my new favorite graphic tee. When I saw it in their shop I just knew I needed it! I think it is awesome and so true. It’s a great reminder that JESUS SAVES with a little humor about guac being extra. Seriously though, why is guac always extra? This shirt is so unbelievably soft!
I not only love Be Still Clothing Company’s graphic tees but their mission as well and what they stand for. Their company was started as a means to bring hope to the hopeless, strength to the weak, and comfort to those in pain. Exodus 14:14 says “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to BE STILL,” and Psalm 46:10 says "BE STILL and know that I am God." These verses have been a source of strength to so many in their time of need. Be Still Clothing Company wants to share this truth with others through their clothing in a fashionable and comfortable way. - Be Still Clothing Company
4.) The other day at daycare they tried Ava out in the toddler room. Right now she is in their transition room which includes little ones that are close to being one and those that are one. I think once they have a spot open in the next room she will be moving up. They said she did such a great job in the toddler room! She sat at the table to eat her lunch all by herself with no problems! This was such a proud parent moment. We were so proud that we headed to IKEA last weekend to buy her their little kid table and chair set so she could practice at home. I know she's growing so fast but it's so exciting to see her learn and develop!
5. Well I am just thankful it's Friday!
Happy Friday Everyone!
