This week I am sharing some BIG news, one of my new favorite shirts (at a great price), one of my favorite baking bloggers and more!
One. Sally's Baking Addiction Blog is my FAVORITE baking blog. I have tried several of her recipes and have loved them. She has great tips for seasoned and new bakers. I love how explicit her recipe directions are. She shares what has worked for her and what hasn't. I highly recommend stopping by and scrolling through her recipes. She also has a few cookbooks!
Two. Last weekend we celebrated Nanna's birthday. It was such a wonderful day. Ava played and played and played. We had a delicious lunch with Pop's pulled pork and Nanna's corn casserole and peas. While Ava took a nap we enjoyed some yummy Upside Down Pineapple Cake. I will be sharing the recipe next week!
Three. Another favorite blog of mine is Pretty in Her Pearls. Angela, the author of the blog, featured this shirt a few weeks ago on her blog. This has seriously become my favorite shirt. You will see me wearing it a lot this summer. My favorite part is the back. The bows!! Check out all of those bows! You can purchase this top here. The top fits true to size and then you have some wiggle room with the bows. I ordered a large and I love how it fits.
Four. Our BIG news is that Ava POOPED IN HER POTTY last night! A good friend of mine said that she put her little ones on their potty when she turned on the water for their bath, so we decided to try it with Ava. Last night was her first time going in the potty and she pooped! Haha! After she pooped she cried. I guess it just weirded her out. We gave her positive praise and some high fives to let her know how proud we were! You can find her potty here.
Five. Lately, my hair has had a lot of dandruff and has felt really waxy. My husband found me this awesome deal at Ulta last weekend that I just couldn't pass up. If you bought two of their products you got one of their masks for free (a $30 value). The mask is AMAZING!!! My hair has never felt so smooth. I am on day five after using the mask and my hair still feels soft and that's without any conditioner.
Happy Friday Everyone!
Join me in my journey as a wife, new mom and a baker as I learn to balance all of life's aprons.
