We had a wonderful three day weekend that went by way too fast!
We started our weekend off celebrating my Mom's 60th birthday!
My sister made the cutest shirts for the grand children that said, "My Nona is 60 and Fabulous."
She also brought us some cronuts (where a donut and croissant become one). They are so good and Ava's favorite!
We spent the day visiting with family, eating yummy food and celebrating my wonderful momma!
Oh and incase I forgot to mention, I am going to be an AUNT AGAIN!!!! I am SO EXCITED to have another little nephew running around soon.
For the party all of the children made appetizers to munch on before lunch.
My Dad grilled some hamburgers and bratwurst.
I had a little bit of each. It was so delicious!
We tried to play in the pool but miss thing wasn't a big fan of the pool. This is as far as we got. I am not sure if last summer's swimming lessons has frightened her or what. I wasn't a big fan of the pool when I was little, but maybe she will come around little by little.
Dessert is definitely never forgotten at the Strazi house. We wrapped the birthday celebration with these two delicious homemade cakes. One is a caramel cake that my great Aunt Martha made and the other is a chocolate sheath cake my Dad made.
On Sunday we headed to Bush's Gardens for the day and Ava rode her first theme park ride. She loved it!
On Monday, we headed to Buy Buy Baby to pick out a new car seat for Ava. It's that time. We decided to go with the Graco SlimFit All-in-One Convertible Car Seat
Afterwards we stopped by PDQ's for some lunch.
Their banana OREO milkshake is the BEST!
We spent the rest of our day relaxing and remembering the brave men and women you have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
How was your Memorial Day Weekend?
Join me in my journey as a wife, new mom and a baker as I learn to balance all of life's aprons.
