Last week I posted Baby Essentials 0-3 months which included a list of things that Ava really enjoyed during her first three months. Here is a list of things that Joey and I have enjoyed as parents these first three months.
At first we didn't have a diaper pail but then we got so tired of taking the dirty diapers to the kitchen trash can. So soon after we had Ava we ended up going to buy a diaper pail and we have been extremely happy ever since. It's just so much easier and it helps keep the smell of poopy diapers contained.
I looked at a lot of different diaper bags and I decided to go with this one. It's reasonably priced and you can wear it as a backpack or a messenger bag. It's also easy to clean and wipe down the inside. I use this diaper bag for our outings together and then use a 31 bag that my mom gave me to send to daycare.
This grass is a fun way to dry the baby bottles and the stems allow you to hang the bottle nipples to dry providing more room on the grass for the bottles.
This bath tub made it easier for us to give Ava a bath especially when she was first born. Giving your baby their first few baths can be stressful until you figure it all out. This tub helped lower the stress level during bath time. You can also use this bath tub through their different growth stages.
This stuff is amazing! My friend actually recommended this to me. We give it to Ava when she is really fussy due to gas. She has a lot of gas and a few drops of gripe water makes her feel so much better and stops the fussiness. It's seriously like magic!
My parents bought this for us after hearing Ava cry hysterically for her bottle one day. When they saw how long it took me to get her bottle made they just couldn't stand the thought of "their" baby crying. So a few days later we found this at our door step. Let me tell you folks...this is worth every penny! If you plan on formula feeding your baby at some point then this is so worth having on your registry. It makes a bottle in just a matter of seconds! We LOVE it!
Not only does Ava like the Boppy Pillows but so do we. The lounger is so nice to have. I use it to feed her when I am bottle feeding her. I sit it next to me on the couch and lay her in it to feed her. Joey uses the regular Boppy Pillow to feed Ava. Our guests also enjoyed using them to hold Ava when she was first born. They are definitely a good investment.
So considering that Joey and I had never changed a diaper prior to having Ava we definitely were rookies at the whole thing. These liners were a huge help. They helped protect the changing pad cover from poopy diapers. After changing many many dirty diapers we have it down to a science and don't really need them anymore, but I am glad we had them in the beginning.
I love this mirror. It helps us to see how Ava is doing in the backseat and it gives her something to look at and be entertained with while riding in the car.
