It's Friday and it's December!! WOOHOOO!! I am so excited to share my favorite five with you this week! It's filled with Christmas decorating, favorite shops, and more!
Back in July Joey passed his lineman test. Prior to him taking his test I had been searching for the perfect gift for him. I wanted something that was special. Something that he could look at regularly as a reminder of the great accomplishment he has made and all the love we have for him.
I recently just discovered my love for kale. I had never really tried it before expecting it would have a strong flavor that I didn't like, but it was just the opposite. I don't think it has a strong taste at all. It's more like just a thick, hearty and crunchy lettuce. I love it! When I found this recipe over at The Cheerful Kitchen I knew I needed to try it.
Making handmade Christmas ornaments has become one of our holiday traditions. We make one for each of the grandparents and then one to hang on our tree. Some of my favorite ornaments on the tree are the handmade ornaments. I just think they are so special! This year we decided to go with this decoupodge ornament.
Here are some gifts that Ava received for her first birthday that I thought would make great gifts for young toddlers. She has enjoyed playing with all of them!
I love doing my gift shopping at small shops. Most of the time the gifts are handcrafted by the shop owner and unique gifts that you won't find in department stores. This holiday season I encourage you to shop small! Here are some of my favorite tried and true small shops.
